AP-800 Pipe Inspection Lamp, 30"L, 1"Diameter

Reveals Cracks, Defects and Flaws Conventional UV Lamps Can't Reach!

Long and Slender — Measures 30 inches long by only one inch in diameter to go where no NDT inspection lamp could go before

Lightweight — One-pound probe is ergonomically designed to be held comfortably during lengthy inspections

Cost Effective and Economical — Costs thousands of dollars less than borescopes with liquid-filled light guides

Powerful — 8-watt lamp plugs into any AC outlet to find critical indications that other UV light sources may miss

Versatile — Long-wave UV lamp illuminates previously inaccessible areas without disassembly

Used by major tube and pipeline inspection companies

AP-800 UltraWand Goes Where No NDT Inspection Lamp Could Go Before!

Put the maximum UV light right where you need it. What can you do when you must inspect for foreign matter or flaws between jet-engine turbine blades, and a conventional lamp won’t fit? The AP-800 UltraWand is the answer! It’s also the perfect tool for tubular inspection and conducting internal fluorescent magnetic-particle and liquid-penetrant examinations.

Used by itself or in conjunction with either a rigid or a flexible, articulated borescope, the AP-800’s 8-watt UV tube, located near one end of the 30-inch, anodized aluminum cylinder, concentrates all the UV light right where it is needed most. Borescopic probes may start out with high UV intensities at their source, but very little ever reaches the surface of the part being examined. The AP-800 delivers a steady-state UV irradiance of 4,800 µW/cm² at one inch! This means that you not only have an extended reach, but you can actually see critical indications once you get there. That’s just one of the reasons the AP-800 UltraWand is currently being used by many of the world’s major pipeline inspection companies.
